Crowds flock to new café

There was party atmosphere in Wilkes Ave on Australia Day as Artarmon residents flocked to the mini opening of Salvage Specialty Coffee.
Dan Yee, Matt Goto and Toby Cutler, three mates who regard themselves as “coffee geeks” were serving up lattes, espressos and cappucinos to queues of locals eager for quality coffee and the promise of decent food.

The trio still have to finish the fitout but the mini opening has whetted the appetite of locals who are looking forward to a “third place” in Artarmon besides home and office.

The owners are planning a selective but seasonal menu “focussing on smaller amount of options done exceptionally well”.
