Artarmon shines at BBP Awards

Artarmon figured prominently among sustainable businesses in Willoughby, Ku-ring-gai and North Sydney local government areas at the inaugural Better Business Awards held by the three councils at The Concourse on June 5.

Despite the weather, more than 260 guests attended the event at the Civic Pavilion, which featured comedienne Wendy Harmer as master of ceremonies; Jon Dee, co-founder of Planet Ark, as guest speaker; and Willoughby and Ku-ring-gai mayors Pat Reilly and Jennifer Anderson; and North Sydney deputy mayor Zoe Baker.

We congratulate Honest to Goodness (see February Gazette), runner up for the overall Better Business of the Year Award and winner of the Energy Saver Award; Nick Logan Pharmacist Advice, runner up for the Community Support Award and Sustainable Transport Award; and Artarmon Family Butcher, runner up for a People’s Choice Award, retail.
