Willoughby City Council
The Willoughby City Council comprises the Mayor and twelve councillors, three from each of four wards. Artarmon is part of Naremburn Ward. Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays each month at 7pm in the WCC Chambers on level 6, 31 Victor Street, Chatswood. Residents are welcome. It is possible, if request is made in writing, both to address the meeting and to raise issues not on the agenda. Council Services
Willoughby City Council provides many community, cultural and sporting facilities and services. The Council's free "Information for New Residents" pack lists some 50 direct contact telephone numbers for these services and provides details on their activities. These include:

Garbage and recycling:
Once weekly Council services collect three separate wheelie bins from households - one for household waste, one for recyclable materials and one bin for vegetation. (see www.willoughby.nsw.gov.au

The Northbridge Baths offer a 50-metre tidal pool with beach and picnic areas within easy reach from Artarmon (9958 7915).

Artarmon Reserve:

Artarmon has playground equipment for small children at the Artarmon Reserve as well as BBQ facilities and seating for family groups. There are also children’s playgrounds in Wickham Park (White St), Cleland Park (Barton Rd), Elsie Wearn Park (Robert St), Thompson Park (Reserve Rd), Artarmon Park North (Parkes Rd) and at Kids Cottage (White Street).
