Council has just released a new plan for improvements to the public domain in the Artarmon Local Centre. The upgrade will include : an upgrade to the park adjacent to the railway line around the entry to the station, including a new toilet/amenities block, a terraced seating area, new shared paths and paving, new street furniture and new plantings and street tree, construction of traffic calming devices on both sides of the railway line in Elizabeth Street, Hampden Road, Francis Road, Broughton Road and Jersey Road, widened footpaths along Hampden Rd with outdoor dining opportunities and installation of a new signalised intersection at Broughton Road and Hampden Road replacing the existing crossing.
